about

Hi - Here's an album I hold in special regard, all recorded in the early 90s and released in 1998. The main track is an extended evocation of the land art work Amarillo Ramp, by American artist Robert Smithson. The final processing of this track was done by experimental sound artist Rafael Toral in his Lisbon studio. Epic Soundtracks plays drums on a cover of John Lennon's Isolation, and another track features Steve Shelly and Thurston Moore. Two film soundtracks - one featuring spoken word, one acoustic guitar meditation - round out the package. Today-May 13, 2020-in light of our current quarantine period, I am releasing a video for Isolation which can be found on my YouTube page (launched 11am ET). The audio for this song has been remastered this month by Raül Refree. Full Album art - plus a couple photos of my visit to Amarillo Ramp site in 2019 - is included with the album. The video I made for Isolation in May 2020 is attached as well.

Originally released by Starlight Furniture in 1998.
